Political Notebook: Liz Cheney Supported Trump More Than Blackburn?!?

A new John Rose four-page mail piece points out that former Congresswoman Liz Cheney voted to support Trump policies more than Marsha Blackburn. The detailed dossier on Blackburn’s record also notes that others who are considered to be RINOs, like Mitch McConnell, Mitt Romney and Adam Kinzinger, were more loyal to Trump than Blackburn has been. Will a TV version of the mailpiece hit airwaves soon?

THE OTHER STARBUCKS GETS A LEGAL VICTORY. Robbie Starbuck, who has NOT been gifted $30 million in corporate welfare from Tennessee taxpayers like Starbucks, may get a big payout from Google.

Starbuck has sued Google for outrageous and defamatory, and false, information distributed via Google AI. Google sought to have the complaint dismissed, but the Delaware judge who heard the arguments is allowing Starbuck’s case to proceed. The case may move toward a settlement because Google probably doesn’t want Robbie’s lawyers to gain access to its dirty little secrets during discovery!

BIG PHARMA MARSHA AD HITS AIRWAVES. Speaking of AI. The American Exceptionalism Institute has reserved $1.7 million in tv time in Tennessee to target Marsha Blackburn. The AI-generated ad hits Blackburn for seemingly being in the pockets of big pharma.

The Institute is a 501(c) (4) “dark money” PAC that is not required to disclose its direct sources of funding and cannot directly advocate for voters to vote either for or against Blackburn.

For several years Blackburn has faced significant scrutiny regarding her relationship with the pharmaceutical industry, most notably for her legislative role in the opioid crisis and huge campaign contributions from drug companies. The issue has received little attention from Tennessee’s mainstream media over the years, but has definitely percolated under the scenes.

John Rose has not focused on the issue during the primary campaign, nor has he commented on the ad.
