As TriStar Daily reported about a week ago, endorsements have been flying throughout the Tennessee GOP primary like chickens fleeing Colonel Sanders!
Some endorsements matter more than others! The endorsement by President Trump seems to carry the most weight in GOP primaries across the country. We will soon find out if that remains true in Tennessee.
Andy Ogles, running for reelection in the fifth district, and State Senator Brent Taylor, running in the new ninth district, are both heavily promoting the endorsement by the President in their races. Past endorsements by Trump in Tennessee have sometimes included him voicing a robocall or hosting a tele-townhall with his preferred candidate. WillTennesseans hear the President himself before August 6?

Blackburn and Hatcher face contested primary battles, while Hagerty is essentially unopposed for reelection to a second term. (He’s also endorsed by Trump.) will other media personalities across Tennessee make their preferences known?
Steve Gill is editor and publisher of TriStar Daily. He has not issued a formal endorsement of any candidate at this point, other than Dolly, who unfortunately is not running for anything.
