Congressman Andy Ogles has introduced the Anchors Away Act, legislation to end birth tourism and clarify that automatic birthright citizenship does not extend to children born in the United States to foreign nationals who are not subject to the full jurisdiction of the United States.
The Anchors Away Act amends the Immigration and Nationality Act to clarify when a child born in the United States is considered “subject to the jurisdiction” of the United States.
The bill also makes inadmissible certain pregnant nonimmigrant aliens seeking entry into the United States when their primary purpose is to obtain U.S. citizenship for a child by giving birth on American soil.
“Today, the Supreme Court cheapened the most valuable thing on planet Earth: U.S. citizenship. Not only is birthright citizenship clearly not in the U.S. Constitution, but this broken system has allowed foreign nationals to take advantage of our country, our benefits, and our generosity. These foreigners have embedded themselves into our society and are being trained by foreign governments to corrupt our culture,” said Congressman Ogles.
“I refuse to let these anchor babies colonize our country. Save our sovereignty. Anchors away!”Congressman Ogles said.
