This week on Fox 17’s Nashville in Focus, TriStarDaily.com publisher Steve Gill discussed a call by state Democratic leaders for Governor Bill Lee to call a special session of the legislature to commit state money for Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) food benefits being held up by the federal government shutdown. Beyond that, we discussed efforts by the Nashville Department of Transportation to change nearly 200 parking spaces in the Music Row area from free to paid parking. The panel also discussed Republican and Democrat nominees in the 7th District Congressional race, electing not to fill out questionnaires from one of the local newspapers so voters would better understand their position on issues important to Middle Tennessee.
