“Tennesseans Should Listen Proudly”’ Rep. Rose Releases Video Statement Ahead of SOTU

U.S. Representative John Rose released a video statement on Tuesday ahead of President Trump’s State of the Union Address set for 8 p.m. CT/9 p.m. ET. Rep. Rose, a staunch supporter of President Trump’s policies and overall conservative vision for the nation, will be in attendance during the president’s remarks.

The full transcript of the video reads:

“Tonight is the State of the Union Address and Tennesseans should listen proudly, knowing that we are leading the pack when it comes to low debt, low taxes, and quality of life,” Rep. Rose said. “I expect that we’ll hear a message focused on improving the lives of everyday people and making our country safe. Even though some Members of Congress have decided to boycott the speech, I hope they can see that putting politics before our country is the wrong move. America may feel divided, but we can bridge that gap with our Tennessee values that have united us for generations. I look forward to hearing from President Trump and hope you’ll plan to listen in as well.”

Rep. Rose is currently serving his fourth term representing Tennessee’s Sixth Congressional District and resides on his family farm in Lancaster with his wife, Chelsea, and their two sons, Guy and Sam. The Sixth District includes Cannon, Clay, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Smith, Sumner, Trousdale, Van Buren, and White counties as well as portions of Davidson, Scott, Warren, and Wilson counties. Representative Rose is an eighth-generation farmer, small business owner, and attorney.
