Former Knox County Mayor Glenn Jacobs, who was reportedly promised the appointment to Marsha Blackburn’s Senate seat if she is successful in the Governor‘s race in exchange for him abandoning his nascent campaign to support her over a year ago, has changed up the graphics on his social media. If Jacobs is in fact appointed to the Senate seat, he would face voters in two years to secure the final two years of Marsha‘s six year term. Getting ready for a campaign?

He was just elected as the first transgender president pro tempore for the Nashville Metro Council. Olivia was elected to a four year term on the Council in September 2023 as the first openly transgender person in the state of Tennessee. Keep “winning” Nashville.
WHAT THE FLOCK!?!? As communities across Tennessee (and in Texas, Florida) start removing and banning Flock cameras, and as the issue of broadspread surveillance of Tennesseans is becoming a campaign issue, anger is resulting in some vandalism in Memphis.
Some of the opposition to the surveillance scheme is clearly overwrought.
But if citizens started posting trail cams outside the homes and offices of elected officials and their consultants to show the comings and goings of their visitors and supplicants via livestreams, you can bet the outraged howls and demands for law-enforcement intervention would echo across the state. The hypocrisy of those who object to on the street (or outside an elevator) video interviews from the media while supporting the Flock surveillance system may be a bigger issue than the cameras themselves.
