State House candidate John Louallen welcomed 753 attendees to Riverbluff Park in Ashland City on Saturday for a community celebration co-hosted by recording artist Ryan Upchurch.
The event brought together supporters from across House District 78 and featured a
family-friendly atmosphere with live entertainment, local vendors, food, children’s activities, and a classic car show.
The car show attracted 75 registered vehicles, with a Cheatham County resident taking home Best in Show honors for a restored 1976 Chevy 1500 red-and-white pickup truck.
Representative Jody Barrett, Pegram Mayor Charles Morehead and several current and former Dickson and Cheatham county elected officials attended the event, alongside members of the Cheatham County Sheriff’s Office, who were present throughout the day.
Louallen enters the final month of the GOP primary race with endorsements from more than 30+ local community leaders, including Dickson County Sheriff Tim Eads and State Rep. Jody Barrett. State Rep. Mary Littleton chose not to run for reelection, creating an open seat in the district.
“I am thrilled by the turnout we had last Saturday,” Louallen commented after the event. “There aren’t many open seats for the Tennessee Legislature this year, and I believe the response we’re seeing reflects the excitement people have for new ideas and strong conservative leadership. Our campaign is built on meeting voters where they are, listening to their concerns, and fighting to keep taxes low, defend our constitutional freedoms, and preserve the values that make our communities strong.”

“Saturday’s attendance and fundraising haul of over $15,000 showed just how much momentum this campaign has heading into Election Day,” Louallen added.
Early voting begins on July 17 with Election Day on August 6.
