Things are ready to heat up in the Sixth District GOP Primary for the Congressional seat being vacated by Congressman John Rose, who is seeking the Republican nomination for Governor.
State Representative Johnny Garrett, from Sumner County, has dropped his first tv ad ahead of the August 6 primary.
The ad focuses on Garrett’s conservative, Christian approach to service and points out his opposition to boys competing in girls sports, among other issues. He has been endorsed by Riley Gaines, who is a leader in opposing transgender’s participating in sports that do not fit their biological birth.
Garrett also notes that he is pro-life, pro-Trump, and opposes China buying our farmland and criminal illegals invading our country. Garrett specifically notes that he wants to bring more Tennessee to DC.
In addition to the ad running on tv and online, Garrett also launched a radio buy this week.
Garrett is facing Congressman Van Hilleary in the Republican primary, along with Jon Henry and Natisha Brooks.
