Gubernatorial Candidate John Rose Receives A+ Rating from National Pro-Life Group

Congressman John Rose (TN-6), a Republican candidate for Governor, has received Susan B. Anthony Pro Life America’s highest grade for defending the unborn. Susan B. Anthony, one of the leading pro-life organizations in the country, gave Rose an A+ rating in its yearly review.

“It is an honor to receive Susan B. Anthony’s highest grade. I have consistently defended life and will continue to do so as Tennessee’s next Governor. Standing up to abortion providers like Planned Parenthood is no easy task, but Tennesseans have my commitment that I will always be a leader in that fight,” said Rose.

In this year’s grade Susan B. Anthony looked at a number of votes, including defunding Medicaid dollars used for abortions, and standing up against health care plans that cover the procedure. SBA also lauded Rose for releasing a “powerful statement” which condemned the FDA for approving a generic abortion drug.

Congressman John Rose (TN-6), an eighth generation Tennessean, announced his candidacy for Governor on March 20, 2025, at the site of the Tennessee State Fair in Wilson County. His conservative record in Congress, mutual support with President Trump, and deep roots in Tennessee agriculture have helped him gain strong support from voters across the state. Rose, a successful businessman, and who also served as Tennessee’s Commissioner of Agriculture, represents the 6th District in the U.S. House of Representatives. He and his wife Chelsea have two children, and live on their Dekalb and Smith County farm which has been in their family for eight generations.
