Former State Senator and State House member Mae Beavers has endorsed 6th District Republican Congressman John Rose for Governor. “I first got to know John when I was in the State Legislature and he became Commissioner of Agriculture, and I have been impressed with his conservative leadership for our agriculture and business communities throughout his career,” Beavers said. “As a Trump delegate and Chair of our Tennessee Delegation to the GOP Convention in 2016, when we nominated President Trump to lead our party and country, I know that John is absolutely committed to the policies and principles that President Trump is seeking to achieve. He won’t have a stronger ally in any Governor’s office in the country than John Rose.”
Beavers was one of the most significant leaders in the state in fighting the state income tax 25 years ago. “The grassroots conservative horn-honkers who faced down a Republican Governor and a Democrat legislature in that battle not only stopped that ill-advised attempt to force an income tax down our throats but also led to Tennessee becoming the “red” state it is today,” Beavers added. “With his experience as a farmer, CEO of successful companies, and a Christian conservative family man and leader in Congress, John Rose has the perfect qualifications and record to keep Tennessee moving in the right direction.”
“President Trump knows he can count on John Rose and we can, too”, Beavers added. “John proved it on January 7, 2021 when he voted with 137 other House members against certifying the fraudulent election of Joe Biden, with more documentation of the vote fraud that took place in that election coming to light since that time. While others flipped and voted against President Trump, John Rose stood firm.”
“I’m proud to say that my family and I will be voting for John Rose, and I encourage real conservatives across the state who support President Trump to get behind him and his campaign.”
