Four Tennessee duck hunters, including former West Tennessee Republican congressman Stephen Fincher, have been fined for overhunting ducks.
On April 6, 2026, a court sentenced four hunters for violating the Migratory Bird Treaty Act (16 U.S.C. §§ 703(a), 707). Fincher will pay a $7,500 fine, forfeit a shotgun, and complete a one-year term of probation, during which he is banned from hunting. Co-defendants Noah Tritt Fincher, Austin Lee Fincher, and Will Hunter Carson were each ordered to pay $2,500 fines and also lost their hunting privileges for one year. All fines will be paid to the North American Wetlands Conservation Fund.
In January 2025, the hunters killed 35 ducks, exceeding the legal limit of 24. Fincher also possessed a shotgun capable of holding more than three shells, which was also a violation.
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Office of Law Enforcement conducted the investigation, with assistance from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency.

The scraggly misfits who seem to comprise today’s alleged Klan appear to be mentally deranged dupes subject to easy manipulation by groups like the SPLC. But for those seeking to profit politically and otherwise from the specter of a resurgent Klan, with no actual evidence of its return, any nitwit cloaked as the boogeyman will do.
TENNESSEE RANKED AS UNSAFE FOR LGBTQ COMMUNITY BASED ON LEGISLATION RATHER THAN ACTUAL SAFETY
A group has ranked Tennessee among the most unsafe in the country for those who are gay, lesbian, transgender or other.
However, the ranking is based almost exclusively upon legislative actions that the Pro LGBTQ community disagrees with rather than actual hate crimes or physical harm to those in those communities. So Tennessee legislation restricting surgeries on minors, limiting drag shows in front of children, laws requiring segregation of dressing rooms and showers based upon biological sex, protecting teachers from lawsuits, based upon the failure to use a preferred pronoun for a student rather than their biological reality, etc., are all the basis for Tennessee’s low ranking.
Sounds more like a public policy dispute instead of an actual safety issue. And Tennesseans overwhelmingly support the legislative agenda that the LGBTQ advocates disagree with. Perhaps they should vote with their feet, the same way Tennessean who voted with their actual ballots to elect a legislature that reflects Tennessee’s cultural, values based approach in the rejection of the LQBTQ promotion of sexual perversion to children.
