Video: TriStar Daily Publisher Steve Gill on TRT World Turkey Discussing Rubio and Munich Conference

TriStar Daily publisher Steve Gill was a guest on TRT TV in Turkey to discuss Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s speech in Denmark.

Rubio may have stuck a warmer note than JD Vance at this year’s Munich Security Conference but the sentiment was the same: tackle immigration and get on board with America’s vision.

Rubio said the US and Europe “belong together” but wants “Europe to be strong”.

European leaders are preparing to stand on their “own two feet” as UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer said, while Friedrich Merz declared Europe must reduce its dependence on the United States.

Where do transatlantic relations go from here? Is this the beginning of the end of the Western alliance as we know it?
