Williamson County Business and Community Leader Andy Marshall Announces Candidacy for County Mayor

Andy Marshall, founder and CEO of A. Marshall Hospitality, announced his bid for Williamson County Mayor Tuesday morning at Puckett’s Restaurant in Franklin. Marshall will be running in the Republican primary on May 5, 2026. The general election will be held on August 6, 2026.

“I believe Williamson County is the greatest place in the world, and my goal is to build on the solid foundation that we have,” said Marshall. “The leaders we have in place today and those who have gone before them have played an integral role in making Williamson County desirable for both residents who have been here for a lifetime and those who have moved here in the past decade.

“Rogers Anderson has provided unmatched leadership for 24 years, and it is my intent to continue his great work in ensuring that we have low tax rates, high property values and the critical Triple A bond rating we need to be successful,” he added. “My campaign will revolve around the things that are most central to me – faith, family and community, and maintaining the incredible quality of life we have here.”

If elected, Marshall, a conservative with strong Christian values, will be focused on:

•Encouraging smart growth
•Supporting top-ranked school system
•Maintaining fiscal responsibility
•Continuing community safety
•Sustaining pro-business atmosphere
•Fostering community engagement
•Preserving agricultural heritage

“We live in a dynamic, thriving community that will continue to experience growth well into the future,” said Marshall. “I want us to continue to be a welcoming community to all…but in a planned way that embraces both the suburban and rural lifestyles that have made Williamson County special. As a small business owner, I also want to make sure that we continue to offer opportunities for businesses of all sizes to thrive here.”

A conservative with strong Christian values, Marshall and Jan, his wife of 41 years, have touched every corner of Williamson County through where they have lived, worked and served. TheMarshalls, who currently reside in College Grove, have three children, who have all contributed to the success of their business, as well as five grandchildren.

A Tennessee native, he began his career in the grocery business. In 1988, he purchased Puckett’s, a small grocery store in the village of Leiper’s Fork and launched a dinner and music program.

He sold that location in 2008 and launched Williamson County-based A. Marshall Hospitality, a restaurant management group. With an administration and staff of over 550 employees, A. Marshall Hospitality now includes eight locations in Tennessee and Alabama; Puckett’s Trolley, a mobile food venue; Puckett’s Events & Catering, Scout’s Pub; and Deacon’s New South, a Southern steakhouse.

In addition to his successful business career, Marshall has been deeply engaged in the community. He currently serves on the boards of the Williamson County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Nashville Predators Foundation, the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Central TN, the Williamson County Fair, the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, Tennessee Hospitality Association Education Foundation, Tennessee Tourism Committee and the Nashville State Community College.

Past involvement includes serving as president of the Downtown Franklin Association for four years, on the board of the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County founding board member of the Franklin Theatre and much more.
