In compliance with state law, Tennessee’s District Attorneys released their 2025 Immigration Report detailing crime statistics from people “not lawfully present” in the country. According to the report, approximately 11,340 people illegally in the U.S. combined for 21,648 criminal charges. The top three offenses were traffic violations, driving without a license, and driving under the influence.
Even more disturbing is the number of serious violent crimes being committed by those illegally in the country. There were 41 homicides reported by people “not lawfully present,” including eight first degree murder charges.
