Memphis ‘NO KINGS’ Mob Dispatched Thugs to Terrorize, Threaten Downtown Business

The “No Kings” mob that assembled in Memphis went beyond a peaceful, yet intellectually irrational, protest to terrorizing and harassing local business owners in Memphis

A group calling itself “The Free the 901 Campaign” is blackmailing local businesses – demanding that they either renounce the Memphis Safe Task Force or face a crippling boycott. They are also warning that any Beale Street business that serves someone in uniform will face a boycott as well.

Local businesses are being told they must “renounce your support” for the task force and also “commit to refuse service to uniformed agents,” or else!

Earlier today they went into businesses on Beale Street and handed out flyers to employees telling them why they were boycotting their establishments.

“We are not aware of any public retraction of your business’s support for the task force,” the flyer read. For this reason, our campaign is boycotting your business and others who have publicly supported the task force.”

This group is nothing more than an economic terrorist organization.

Feel free to reach out directly to the “non-profits” that are waging this boycott: MICAH, Black Voters Matter, Memphis for All, Indivisible Memphis, The Equity Alliance, ACLU Tennessee, Decarcerate Memphis – among others.

The dramatic decline in crime in Memphis, particularly in the downtown area, have been cheered and celebrated by local residents, who have pointed out that they feel safer in their own community thanks to the increased presence of law enforcement. The statistics confirm what Memphis is experiencing: reports indicate a 43% to 44% decline in overall crime as of March 2026, compared to the same period in the previous year.

The groups that are demanding a return to lawlessness seem to be primarily from or funded by those who have not had to suffer the effects of violent crime, poverty and hopelessness in a community where safety has been a glaringly missing element. If they have their way, will their anti-Trump political agenda be of any consolation or help to the people of Memphis, or will they simply move on to the next well-funded protest with new pre-printed signs and left-wing organizational support?

Nationally syndicated radio host Todd Starnes who broadcasts from his studio at KWAM in Memphis expressed concern that these threats and boycotts will be terribly damaging to the local businesses on Beale Street. “There groups weren’t here when violent crime was ravaging our community, nor were they concerned about the impact on innocent residents and their businesses,” Starnes noted. “ And they aren’t worried about them now. They are only concerned about promoting their own political agenda with no thought about who gets hurt in the process or what happens if law enforcement leaves the area.”
