NASHVILLE —A report from Nashville Business Journal revealed that TriStar Centennial Medical Center has filed a letter of intent with the Tennessee Health Facilities Commission to build a new $25 million inpatient rehabilitation unit on its Patterson Street campus.
The proposed project calls for a 15-bed facility at 2410 Patterson St., expanding the hospital’s rehabilitation services. If approved, it will add to a series of major growth initiatives from HCA Healthcare’s TriStar Division this year.
Recent projects include a $286 million hospital in Clarksville, new freestanding emergency departments in Pleasant View ($17.8 million) and Lebanon ($18 million), and a $15.9 million renovation in Lebanon to convert an inpatient rehab facility into an ambulatory surgery center.
TriStar Division President Mitch Edgeworth also confirmed the system is exploring the purchase of Williamson Health, further signaling its push for expansion across Middle Tennessee.
TriStar Centennial is Nashville’s second-largest hospital by revenue, reporting $977.2 million in net patient revenue in 2023, according to Business Journal research. The TriStar network includes 16 hospitals, seven freestanding ERs, and 17 urgent care centers across the region.
