Tennessee Congressman Andy Ogles has called out Davidson County Judges for repeatedly releasing a Somali man into the community, which finally resulted in him facing charges for raping and murdering a young woman on the steps of a south Nashville church earlier this year. Muhammad Muhammad has faced around 21 charges in the last ten years, but was released to the streets of Nashville over and over again.
Now there are concerns that he will still not face severe punishment.
“Meet Muhammad A. Muhammad. He was recently caught allegedly RAPING a woman on the steps of a church on Nolensville Road in Nashville,” Ogles posted to X on Friday. “He is a Somali migrant let in by Obama.”
Ogles pointed out that Muhammad was arrested “over a dozen times,” but that every previous case against him, ranging from “drugs to indecent exposure to criminal trespass,” was previously dismissed by various Nashville judges.
“Every judge and prosecutor who let him off the hook was a DEMOCRAT,” Ogles noted. “As long as local liberals are running things in Middle Tennessee, we are at war. The state should impeach all of the judges. Send the guard to Nashville.”
Ogles posted the names of multiple judges who he said oversaw the various cases against Muhammad, which date over a ten year period from 2015 to 2025.
These included several judges in Davidson County General Sessions Court, including Judge Lynda Jones, who Ogles said dismissed a driver’s license charge against Muhammad in 2015; Judge Robin Kimbrough-Hayes, who reportedly dismissed a public intoxication charge against Muhammad in 2023; Judge John Aaron Holt, who allegedly dismissed another public intoxication charge in 2023; Judge Rachel Bell, who Ogles said dismissed a criminal trespassing charge at the request of Davidson County District Attorney Glenn Funk earlier this year; and Judge Melissa Blackburn, who he said dismissed three separate criminal trespassing cases against Muhammad in 2025.
🚨WOKE NASHVILLE JUDGE UPDATE
— Rep. Andy Ogles (@RepOgles) December 9, 2025
Instead of apologizing to the family of that young woman who was raped to death, instead of apologizing to the people of Nashville, these judges have the gall to publicly complain about my oversight and call it 'dangerous rhetoric.'

The Judges are now requesting heightened security, claiming Ogles’ post has put them at risk.
In a letter to Governor Bill Lee, the same Judges who put Middle Tennesseans at risk from Muhammad Muhammad over the past 10 years are now claiming they themselves are at risk. “The reckless use of violent rhetoric, such as that employed by Mr. Ogles, can embolden the most extreme elements and lead to tragic consequences,” the judges wrote.
“We urge the State to take appropriate action to counter the dangerous and inflammatory rhetoric issued by Mr. Ogles. Tennessee must not become the site of the next preventable tragedy.”
Muhammad is currently in custody on a $300,000 bond, but an ICE detainer warrant prevents his release pending his scheduled January trial.
